Your Support Directly Helps Kīlauea Students.
The Kīlauea School PTSA is dedicated to supporting and enriching student experiences at Kīlauea School through the generosity of our community.
What Your PTSA Does
Each year the Kilauea School PTSA runs different fundraising programs and fun events. Why?
While attending Kilauea School is free and funded through the taxes we pay, it does not include education in art, music, media, or PE; or enriching field trips, after school clubs, or even the supplies our teachers use in the classroom.
The Kilauea School PTSA, through fundraisers, pays for all this.
The efforts of parents, students, and our Kilauea community will mean art, music, PE, reading tutoring, and enriching activities will be funded and continue for our Kilauea children.

Our Kīlauea School PTSA is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization of volunteers. We enrich our students by improving their school learning environment and supporting teachers and staff. We plan year-round events during and after school. And, of course, we fundraise. It takes a village to support our kids.
-
We have monthly general PTSA meetings throughout the school year, please join to see where you can help. Attendance is optional. While everyone is invited to attend, we encourage you to take the step to become a member. Only members hold voting rights. PTSA dues directly support the students. Join here.

The PTSA funds provide extra learning materials, helps purchase necessary supplies, pays for field trips, and even pays certain teacher wages. Read on to see more about what we pay for. Without the money your family donates to the PTSA, none of this would be possible.
What Your PTSA Support Pays For
Enrichment Teacher Salaries
In addition to funding all core aspects of our students’ education, our PTSA fully funds our P.E. teacher and Music and Art teacher, and helps fund RTI (Response to Intervention) support and our media enrichment instruction.
Teacher Allotments and School Supplies
Annual budgets are allotted to every single Kilauea School classroom teacher so they don’t have to go out of their own pockets to pay for our student’s school supplies.
Field Trips
All field trips for all 7 grades (pre-K - 6) are funded by the PTSA.
After School Clubs
The PTSA works with the school to create enriching after school clubs, with the money paying for instructor wages and club supplies.
Nature Center Rehabilitation
A major initiative for Kilauea School PTSA, we’re working to restore and improve the campus Nature Center. Currently in the clearing phase, stay tuned for more plans and opportunities to join our work days!
Community Events
Bingo nights, student dances, enriching evening events—they’re all paid for by PTSA and 100% free for students to attend (and their families too, depending on the event).
