Your Support Directly Helps Kīlauea Students.

The Kīlauea School PTSA is dedicated to supporting and enriching student experiences at Kīlauea School through the generosity of our community.

What Your PTSA Does

Each year the Kilauea School PTSA runs different fundraising programs and fun events. Why?

While attending Kilauea School is free and funded through the taxes we pay, it does not include education in art, music, media, or PE; or enriching field trips, after school clubs, or even the supplies our teachers use in the classroom.

The Kilauea School PTSA, through fundraisers, pays for all this.

The efforts of parents, students, and our Kilauea community will mean art, music, PE, reading tutoring, and enriching activities will be funded and continue for our Kilauea children.

What Your PTSA Support Pays For

Enrichment Teacher Salaries

In addition to funding all core aspects of our students’ education, our PTSA fully funds our P.E. teacher and Music and Art teacher, and helps fund RTI (Response to Intervention) support and our media enrichment instruction.

Teacher Allotments and School Supplies

Annual budgets are allotted to every single Kilauea School classroom teacher so they don’t have to go out of their own pockets to pay for our student’s school supplies.

Field Trips

All field trips for all 7 grades (pre-K - 6) are funded by the PTSA.

After School Clubs

The PTSA works with the school to create enriching after school clubs, with the money paying for instructor wages and club supplies.

Nature Center Rehabilitation

A major initiative for Kilauea School PTSA, we’re working to restore and improve the campus Nature Center. Currently in the clearing phase, stay tuned for more plans and opportunities to join our work days!

Community Events

Bingo nights, student dances, enriching evening events—they’re all paid for by PTSA and 100% free for students to attend (and their families too, depending on the event).

Ways to Support

  • Donate

To not ask too much and lesson the burden on families, we only have two major fundraisers this year. Please do what you can to support your students and school for these efforts. People can also donate directly to our non-profit via the link below.

  • Volunteer

Even if you just have a few hours here and there, we need lots of hands to make everything come to life. See where you can help.

  • Attend

Most of our events are meant to be fun and enriching for the students and families-you simply attending makes them that much more vibrant and successful!

  • "Light the Way" Fund

We are also seeking individual or local business support to help light the way for Kilauea's keiki! Multi-year gifts and commitments help us plan and sustain vital programs, and lesson the fundraising burden on our families. We appreciate all leads and intros. You can download the PTSA Light the Way Fundraising flyer and share it with interested parties, or donate directly via Venmo. You can also email us to talk more. Our PTSA is a register 501 (c)(3) non-profit organization, support is tax deductible.

  • Buy Products

Buying a Kilauea school t-shirt or sticker is an easy way to support the programs and your hometown. Available in adult and kid sizes, pick one up at one of our events or by visiting our online store.

  • Kilauea Bakery Book Stand

Stop by to donate or buy a book, with 100% of the proceeds benefiting the school programs the PTSA supports. Mahalo to the Kilauea Bakery for allowing the PTSA book stand.
