Kilauea PTSA Coin War 2026

It’s our last fundraiser of the year!

Dates: Monday, May 11 - Friday, May 15

The Goal: Raise funds for the Kilauea PTSA while competing for a class pizza party!

How the Scoring Works

• DOLLARS = POSITIVE POINTS: Every dollar bill ($1, $5, $10, etc.) added to your class jug increases your score.

• COINS = NEGATIVE POINTS: Any silver coins dropped into another class' jug subtract from that class's total

• The Strategy: Students should put their dollars in their own class jug and
  "sabotage" other classes by dropping coins into competitors' jugs!

Rules

• Collection Point: Each grade level (pre K-6) and the office will have a designated

5-gallon water jug at their classroom. Jugs go out at morning and lunch recess.

• No removing money from jugs

• No moving jugs from the classrooms

The Prize

The class with the highest positive point total at the end of the week wins a Pizza Party hosted by the PTSA!
