The Kīlauea School PTSA a non-profit school community-based advocacy organization, supporting, enhancing, and providing educational experiences for the keiki of Kīlauea School, including art, music, reading intervention, Kinder K.A.M.P., tutoring, recess equipment, supplemental curriculum, school garden, field trips, family nights, after-school clubs, and much more.
Nothing would be possible without the generosity of the community.
The Kīlauea School PTSA’s role in offering and supporting school programs as well as supplementing educational resources has become even more critical. And we are hoping that local leaders understand the economic challenges of Kīlauea families. 2025 BUDGET
To keep it simple, we’ve broken out our funding needs for the school year into large groups. Here, an explanation of these areas:
Specials: The PTSA funds the wages for the PE, Music, and Art teachers, plus tutors.
Field Trips: This covers expensive buses needed for enriching field trips, up to 2 trips per class per year.
Support: PTSA reimburses teachers for supplies, so they don’t have to go out of their pocket for our keiki.
Clubs: PTSA pays for supplies and wages for instructors for our enriching and popular after school clubs.
Nature Center: Currently in the clearing stage, the funds pay for tree mitigation and expensive machine work.
Operations: this includes events like craft nights and bingo, funds to pay for our products, giveaway prizes for events, as well as insurance and back office operation costs.
